Yolo County Office of Education supports educators and districts in implementing high-quality science education grounded in the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA NGSS). Our professional learning and collaborative opportunities help educators strengthen three-dimensional teaching and learning by integrating disciplinary core ideas, science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts.

 

Our science initiatives emphasize disciplinary literacy, authentic inquiry, and real-world applications that help students see themselves as scientists, engineers, and problem-solvers. We work alongside districts to develop instructional practices that engage all learners in meaningful science experiences and build the knowledge and skills students need to understand and contribute to the world around them.
