Work-Based Learning
Work-based learning connects career exploration and classroom learning with experiences in workplaces and the community. These experiences help students explore their interests, learn from professionals, develop workplace skills, and make more informed decisions about education and employment.
B-Unbound at YCOE
B-Unbound is a real-world learning platform developed by Big Picture Learning. It connects young people with supportive adults and community-based learning experiences related to their interests.
Through YCOE’s B-Unbound program, students identify an area they would like to explore and use the platform to search for relevant opportunities. YCOE staff review student requests and help coordinate connections with approved mentors. Mentors may come from within YCOE or from local businesses, public agencies, and community organizations.
