YCOE Program Updates

In-person instruction will be resuming on Monday, March 1, 2021. Please know that when our programs reopen for in-person instruction, they will look different. In accordance with state and local health guidelines, here is what you can expect:

  • Face-to-face, in-person instruction 5-days per week
  • Reduced number of students in classrooms and re-arrangement of classroom furniture to enhance social distancing where possible
  • Face coverings will be required for all staff and students

The following individuals are exempt from wearing a face-covering: Persons with a verified medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that prevents them from using a face covering

Persons who are hearing impaired or communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication

Persons for whom wearing a face-covering could create a risk to the person related to work/school, as determined by local, state or federal regulators or safety guidelines

Daily at-home health screenings and temperature checks prior to arriving at school

Prior to each school day, students/families shall complete an at-home health screening, assessing any flu-like symptoms and ensuring their student’s temperature is below 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Students experiencing any flu-like symptoms and/or having a temperature above 100.4 should stay home from school and will not be permitted to enter campus.

  • Limiting the use of shared classroom items
  • Minimizing the number of non-essential visitors on campus
  •  A daily cleaning schedule with heightened sanitation of common spaces after students are present
  • Adhering to the In-Person Agreement signed by all students along with a parent/guardian if returning to campus for In-Person instruction.
