Program
- Yolo County Career Academy Charter School petition approved by Yolo County Board of Education December 12. School to open Fall 2018.
- Support of CTE program at Cesar Chavez Community School in Manufacturing and Product Design in partnership with Marquez Designs
- Continued support of Cesar Chavez Community School Arts program in partnership with Yolo Arts
- Revision of AB602 funding allocation and ERMHS service delivery model
- Summer School Programs held at Cesar Chavez Community School and Dan Jacobs Juvenile Hall School
- Early Childhood Education staff visited the Museum of Tolerance
- Cesar Chavez Community School developed a partnership with Northern California Trykers
- WASC accreditation completed and given to Cesar Chavez Community School (6 years) and Dan Jacobs Juvenile Hall School (3 years)
- Hecho a Mano Spring Break Course in partnership with Marquez Design and Taller Arte Nuevo Amanecer
- Extended school year sessions at Greengate, Woodland High School, Davis High School, and Adult Living Skills in Davis.
- Assessment and completion of a study of revised SELPA AB 602 allocation plan for the 2018-19 academic year
- COE Facility Planning committee established to facilitate discussion for Career Academy Charter, Head Start, and Special Education
- American Reading Company coaching for Alternative Education staff
- Partnerships with Esparto and Winters School Districts to open up Head Start classrooms on their district campuses for 2018-19
- Yolo County SELPA held a transition symposium for one hundred high students with disabilities to enhance their college and career readiness
- Coordination with Head Start and SELPA to increase special education services
- New Head Start preschool class opened at Plainfield Elementary School
- Partnership with Cesar Chavez Community School and Greengate School to provide physical education support every week
Leadership
- Coordination of meeting (April 27) with Senator Bill Dodd and Assemblywoman Cecila Aguiar Curry. The meeting included county superintendents from Napa, Solano, and Sonoma.
- Member of CA County Superintendents Educational Services Association legislative and charter school committee

- Support for opening of Yolo-Sutter Center for Teacher Credentialing
- Yolo County K-12 Administrator Welcome Back Breakfast – July 27
- Nominated and elected to serve as Chair of Adult Education Block Grant Consortium
- Implementation of YCOE employee’s classification and compensation study
- Provided LCAP District Support meetings
- Held first ever meeting of North Valley Information Technology Regional Group which includes Yolo, Napa, and Solano Counties
