On June 1, the Yolo County Office of Education held its annual retiree ceremony at Greengate School in Woodland. This year, YCOE recognized seven retirees with a cumulative 151 years of service to the organization.

This year’s YCOE retirees were:

• Bertha “Bertie” Cruz, Paraeducator, Special Education, 41 years
• Cheryl Bates, Senior Payroll/Benefits Technician, Human Resources, 27 years
• Jennifer Worster, Paraeducator, Special Education, 23 years
• Wayne Garske, Network Systems Administrator, Information Technology, 22 years
• Susan DeTerra, Educational Interpreter, Special Education, 20 years
• Maria Rosa Ramirez, Teacher, Early Head Start, 16 years
• Dennice D’Ambrosio, Associate Teacher, Early Head Start, 2 years
