Kristen Cracchiolo receives the Employee of the Month award.
Posted 10/1/19

On behalf of the Superintendent’s Advisory Team, it is my pleasure to announce

Kristen Cracchiolo

as the Employee of the Month for October.

Kristen has gone above and beyond for the youth in YCCP since she was hired in fall 2018.  She is the “glue” that holds the youth together academically and emotionally.  Kristen is contacted regularly outside of her work hours to unlock a quiz/test or an assignment in Edgenuity for example.  The youth trust and confide in Kristen daily for support, advice and tutoring.    She greets them every morning with a warm welcome, checks in and often brings them a special food treat that she knows they will appreciate.

The most recent example of the strong bond Kristen has with the youth and their families occurred the morning of September 29th when she received a phone call from a YCCP parent at 4:15 a.m.  Four of our YCCP youth (two former/two current) were involved in a serious car accident on 1-5.  All four youth were transported to the UC Davis Emergency Room.  One parent, who lives in West Sacramento, did not have transportation to meet her son at the UC Davis Emergency Room, so she called Kristen.  Kristen arranged for a LYFT driver to pick up the mom and transport her to the UC Davis Emergency Room, so she could be there for her son.  Once the youth was released later in the day, Kristen arranged for the mom and youth to get a LYFT ride home to West Sacramento.

The youth and their families know that Kristen will go well beyond 100% to support them.

Congratulations Kristen!

The Superintendent and Board of Education will be honoring Kristen at the upcoming Board Meeting

scheduled on Tuesday, October 22, at 3:30 at the YCOE Conference Center.

Staff are welcome to attend to show their support.October employee of the month
