Yolo County Office of Education

Yolo County Office of Education

EL RISE! (English Learner Roadmap Implementation for Systemic Excellence) is a collaboration of three organizations providing leadership and support to educators statewide in implementing the English Learner Roadmap, California’s comprehensive policy for educating students designated as English Learners. Yolo County was selected to be a part of this initiative as one of four anchor counties, partnering with Woodland Unified School District as the anchor district.

As an anchor County Office of Education, YCOE is hosting a series of professional learning opportunities for teachers and school leaders in the region focused on improving teaching and learning for students designated as English Learners. Collaboration and Professional Learning Opportunities for Secondary Teachers and School Leaders

  • The second, offered through the California School Leadership Academy (CSLA), is for site and district administrators interested in diving deeply into leadership for multilingual learners in their local contexts and collaborating with other leaders to share ideas and navigate challenges.
