Nancy F. Lea
Nancy F. Lea is a member of the State Bar of California. She has served on the Board of the Sacramento YWCA, the Board of San Francisco Hearing and Speech (which offers a clinic/school/pre-school for children with hearing challenges to a very diverse urban population) , and currently is the Yolo County representative on the Board of Alta California Regional Center which serves children and adults with Developmental Disabilities in a ten county mixed urban/rural area. Ms. Lea also serves on the Yolo County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Her areas of emphasis on the Yolo County Board of Education are Special Education, services for foster children and youth, and the delivery of excellent educational services to students within the constraints of prudent utilization of taxpayer funds. She was elected to the Board of Education in November, 1993. She and her husband have two adult sons and an adult foster daughter, who immigrated from Mexico as a young child. They have farmed walnuts in Yolo County since 1973.

Dr. Joseph W. Thomson
Joseph W. Thomson, Ph.D., is a retired education consultant. He and his wife have lived in east Davis since 1975. Originally trained as a high school history teacher, he spent most of his 40 + year career working with programs for bilingual children, disadvantaged youth, and career education. First appointed to the Yolo County Board of Education in October, 1998, his main focus continues to be on the Regional Occupation Programs and Court and Community School programs.
Xavier Gamez
Xavier Gamez has served in higher education for the past six years and is currently the assistant director of career services at Kaplan College. He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from California State University Sacramento in 2003. Xavier has been a resident of West Sacramento for 32 years and is committed to providing an educational opportunity for all Yolo County students. Mr. Gamez has one daughter who attends school in the Washington Unified School District.

Dr. Cirenio A. Rodriguez

Cirenio Rodriguez serves as a Professor, Educational Administration and Policy Studies, at California State University, Sacramento. He served on the Woodland Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees 1991 - 1995 and 1997 - 2000. He was appointed to the Yolo County Board of Education in December, 2003, and is committed to providing educational opportunities for all students, especially for children most at risk.
